There are many rubber parts on the car, and some have a fixed replacement cycle, such as belts, which must be replaced in time when the number of kilometers or time is reached, otherwise the car will break down if the driving is interrupted. Others do not have a fixed replacement cycle. When they are broken, they should be replaced. Even if they are broken in the early stage, the impact of not replacing them is not too big, but they must be replaced in the later stage. Today we will talk about which rubber parts will age and affect the use of the vehicle.
1. Control arm rubber sleeve. The control arm is also called the triangle arm, which fixes the position of the suspension and the wheel and plays a role in stability. When driving on uneven roads, because the wheels will jump up and down, the control arm will also move up and down, so a rubber sleeve is needed as a buffer, otherwise it will make abnormal noise or mechanical wear. The number of kilometers or the age of the vehicle is long, and the rubber cover will age. However, the aging speed of each kind of car is very different. Some cars age and crack after five or six years or 70,000 to 80,000 kilometers, and some cars crack after 100,000 kilometers in 89 years. How do you know the rubber sleeve is cracked? Generally, it is found after inspection by a maintenance technician during maintenance, and it is difficult to find it without lifting the car. After the damage is serious, there will be two phenomena, which are known by oneself. The first is that there will be an abnormal sound when the speed bump is over, which is caused by the contact between the control arm and the frame, and the friction between iron and iron. The second is that it may also cause deviation, especially when the rubber sleeve comes out, the position of the control arm will change, resulting in incorrect four-wheel alignment data.
When the rubber sleeve is broken, it will not have any effect if it is not replaced at the initial stage. When the cracking is serious or it comes out, it must be replaced. Because the control arm and the frame are not directly connected together, but connected by a rubber sleeve. If the rubber sleeve cracks seriously and falls off, it will cause the vehicle to be unstable, and it is very dangerous to drive at high speed. It should be replaced in time. Many 4S shops cannot replace the rubber sleeve alone. The control arm assembly needs to be replaced. The price is high, and some models can be replaced separately. If you don't want to spend too much money, you can replace them separately in the repair shop outside.
2. Engine foot pads. This foot pad is often broken, it supports the engine and also acts as a buffer. When the engine is working, there must be vibration. If the engine is directly connected to the frame, the vibration will inevitably be transmitted to the inside of the car, making the vehicle less comfortable. With the cushioning of this foot pad, most of the shock can be absorbed, and it is not felt in the car. How do you know the pads are broken? First of all, by feeling the vibration in the car, in the idling state, if the car vibrates a lot, but the engine works smoothly without any abnormality, it is the foot pad that is broken and cannot absorb the vibration. It can also be seen with the naked eye whether the foot pad is damaged or not. It depends on whether there is hydraulic oil seeping out. The foot pad is not completely rubber, and there is hydraulic oil inside. If oil seeps out, it means that the foot pad is cracked and oil seeps. The cushioning effect is greatly reduced after it comes out and needs to be replaced.
3. Ball cage dust jacket. There are many cars that will also break, this is a part on the half shaft, the connection of the half shaft to the gearbox and the wheel bearing is not straight, and the angle of bending will be large when turning, so there is a ball cage at each end, The rotation of the ball cage needs to be lubricated with grease. The ball cage dust jacket is to cover these lubricating grease, and can also prevent the external dirt from entering the ball cage. There is a dust jacket at each end of a half shaft, which may be damaged. After the damage, the lubricating grease will leak first, and the ball cage cannot be well lubricated after leakage, thus damaging the ball cage. Secondly, dirt such as sand particles from the outside will also enter the ball cage, increasing the wear and tear of the ball cage. Therefore, the set needs to be replaced in time if the cage is broken, otherwise the car cannot be driven if the cage is broken, and the price of replacing the cage is also high.
